Introducing Amanda Tanfield

Wow! What a fun start to the season. The great part of being in a team is that we get to train together and it’s always a laugh. We started our personal training with our coach Anna Greco and we've been working on our strength and conditioning. There is lots to do each week and oh my life the roller does hurt my calves. I do hope this is making me faster. The next step with the training was weights and this so far has been my favourite part. I’ve never been very strong so I look forward to not having tired arms/legs at the end of a race weekend. Race wise its been interesting. The first race was at Kinsham in a Pearce race. I had a go at it but I wasn't ready, after recovering from breaking my back 5 months ago. I froze on race day and it caused me to crash. I realised I wasn't ready so decided to aim for the 2nd round of the Pearce races where actually I did much better. I finished practice day and finished the race. Absolutely over the moon. This year for me and with the support of my sponsors I aim to have fun and to improve as a racer. I know I can do it, I just need to pace myself.
